| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Parking is on a gravel skirt off of NH16 at each trailhead. The trailheads are 0.3 miles apart. If people park noses/trunks in (like a traditional parking lot) and not long-wise or parallel to the mountain bank, then 10 cars could fit at each parking area. |

| Water Crossing Notes: |
All crossings were small and insignificant. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Good job taking care of the blow downs! The remainder were simple to negotiate. Most blazes (yellow) were near the road. Very few, and very faded blazes on the remainder of the trail. Excellent blazing on the south branch of Imp Trail where there is another cross country ski trail or trail to Dodge Camp leaves left. The bright, fresh, yellow blazes lead you down the Imp trail. |

This 6+ mile loop is an excellent trek to one of the “52 With a View†peaks that gives you a lovely view of the Presidentials on clear days. We had the trail and peak all to ourselves!
The trail corridor is wide at the bases, narrow at the top, but is simple to follow. The lower elevations did prove more challenging to stay on the trail as leaf litter coated the trail as well as tributary streams.
The south branch is much more rocky and rough than the north branch. It took more time going down the south branch than the up the steeper north branch due to the rocks and solid 1 inch deep layer of leaves. Still, that view was nice! |
