Surface Conditions: Dry Trail
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: None.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Lower down, these trails could use a weed whacker; they are very brushy. No blazes, but plentiful flagging of various colors. No blowdowns. Junctions are well-signed.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: I guess. I wouldn't bring them in summer due to the high tick probability.
Bugs
Bugs: Nope.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Nothing.

Comments
Comments: I did a double loop over this peak to hike both trails indicated on the Bradford Conservation Commission map. Easy grades and good footing throughout, mostly on old woods / skid roads. It looks like this hill had been completely logged over at some point. From the height-of-land on the outer loop, I did the very short and very easy bushwhack to the wooded summit, where a tree growing out of a split rock appears to be at the high point. The map indicates a view from here, but that must have been decades ago. Definitely no view now. While the views are gone, the BCC map linked below does have a sense of humor. :)
