Comments
Comments: Short road walk to New Path trailhead. The New Path to South Doublehead is a nice trail but the upper half is very, very steep. Personally, I would not want to descend it....I think the “gravelly” surface would be somewhat treacherous. Great views from South Doublehead and its Spur trails...much better views than from North Doublehead, in my opinion. Nice hike from South to North Doublehead...there’s a short spur behind the cabin on North Doublehead leading to a small ledge with nice views to the east. Took the Ski Trail down which had mostly moderate grades. Did not see many people on the trails today.
