| Comments: |
Great hiking day! Trails drier than expected. Some ice up high but dealt with carefully. A few sections with thick leaf cover hiding many smaller rocks. Quiet day up to Middle Carter; only 3 hikers met; nice chatting with postal patty. Much busier from Middle Carter and down. Another hiker commented on it being the best views he'd ever seen of Washington and hard to disagree on that. Very clear viewing day. Brought the big pack; room for more gear; getting that time of year. |
