Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: We were able to rock hop all 10 crossings of Downes Brook very carefully and keep our feet dry. Crocs took a ride
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trails in great shape. Livermore is a muddy mess in parts near Livermore pass. A few minor blowdowns here and there. Great work on Kate Sleeper trail-first time up there and the blowdown patches are huge-mustve been a herculean effort to put that trail back together.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Fin had a great day obtaining 12/48 (whiteface)-she did amazingly well on the 100ish yards of the South Tripyramid Slide. A capable mountain dog can handle this stretch no problem. Would avoid if wet. Saw one friendly dog on Rollins.
Bugs
Bugs: lots of mosquitoes on boggy Livermore sections

Comments
Comments: Downes Brook is a real gem and my favorite new way to hike Whiteface. Hit it when the water is low!!! Kate Sleeper is an amazing trail. Scaur Ridge is a very pleasant hike as well. Livermore North is one of those trails I will probably never hike again. Great day redlining and working on Fin's 48!!!
