Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The two near the end were easy this day.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Great trails. A bit muddy toward the end but no big deal.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: This route is only for very experienced traildoggies who are at least half mountain goat, including GOOD BOY Boxer (his name, but not his breed).
Bugs
Bugs: There were some mosquitoes, but they weren't very aggressive and the few bites didn't swell up much.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: I lost a CAMERA on the Bicknell Ridge Trail above the Eagle Cascade Link; I think it was near the lowest down cairn with a view of South Baldface. It is a blue and black Fujifilm FinePix camera in a dull green Lowa case. Reward- contact me at margaretkugler412@gmail.com. Thank you if you find it.

Comments
Comments: This was a spectacular hike on a spectacular day, which is what you want for something so challenging. The most difficult part is the half mile above the South Baldface Shelter, but there are many other challenges beyond that point. The side trip to Baldface Knob and Eastman Mountain adds 3 miles and 900 feet of elevation gain and loss, but the trails seem very mellow and remote. The peaks earn their places on the 52 With A View list.
