Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: My hiking partner got to the trailhead at Diana’s Baths at 9am and said it was half full. When I arrived at 9:15am it was nearly full. We started that early for the sole purpose of getting a parking space there. Parking lot full when we returned around 5pm. The parking lot off of Bear Notch Road is small and rough. Watch out for a big hole just after the entrance. No one there at 9:45 and two other cars on our return around 5:30pm (nearly full).
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Mud - Significant
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The crossings were your fairly standard rock hop. Water is still fairly low. Lucy Brook can be difficult in high water.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Better than we anticipated! Attitash Trail was in fine shape and easy to follow not just to the ledges on Table Mtn (as everyone says) but all the way to Big Attitash. From there down to Moat Mtn Trail was tougher though. More overgrown, blowdowns, less evident footway, some washout, and rough, wet footing. The trail was pretty well blazed in yellow most of the way.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Only saw them around Diana’s Baths. Most hiking dogs could handle this though.
Bugs
Bugs: Didn’t use bug spray and they didn’t bother us until later in the day on the Moat Mtn Trail and even then they weren’t bad.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Picked a water bottle up left on the other side of the brook near the jct with Moat Mtn Trail.

Comments
Comments: Teamed up with a fellow redliner for this one so we could traverse it. Attitash Trail was in better shape than the book made it sound... at least to Big Attitash. The section from Big Attitash to Moat Mtn Trail was rougher. Only saw one other hiker doing the traverse (and road walk!!). Lots of people around Diana’s Baths where we stopped to rest. The summit of Big Attitash is practically on trail but the summit of Table Mtn which we did not visits looked like it’d be a bit of a rough bushwhack.
