Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Kudos to the folks taking care of the blowdowns on the Great Gulf trail up to Wamsutta/Six Husbands. Really good work and much appreciated. I was there a could weeks ago and a huge difference! Could use some on the upper portion of GG between Spaulding lake and the head wall. Nelson Crag has some spots that could use some attention below tree line but certainly manageable

Comments
Comments: weather was mostly very humid but cool. GG has to be one of the most beautiful trails in the Whites and if you have not done it yet be prepared for a long day of very rugged hiking. Nelson Crag below tree line also very challenging. Dry with great traction on all exposed rock in the alpine zone but everywhere else was very wet and slippery - footing was a challenge and will slow you down
