Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: It's a 5-day drought -- easy stream crossings.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: This report covers three days where I repainted the blazes which had been washed off last October. The blazes have all been renewed between the cellar hole and the easternmost beaver pond. Some old blazes remain because I could not remove them without too much damage to trees. There are a couple trees which have blazes in both directions because there was no other decent place to paint. Blazing the rest of the trail to the Elwell Junction could also use refreshing, but is a lower priority for now. Hobblebush is a problem again this year. That will be my next focus. There remains the one nasty blowdown about 1/4 mile west of the 93Z junction. The first two photos in the linked album give some idea of what it's like; I have a video which gives a better idea but is nearly 25MB. The bypass works.

Comments
Comments: For the future, blazes west of the first beaver pond also need refreshing, just not as critically. The 50yd. or so on either side of the 93Z junction need some sort of hardening, just how is TBD. That will likely come as a project for AMC-NH Spring School 2020 or for National Trails Day 2020. The third photo in the linked album shows some rock steps that mostly help one avoid mud.
