Trail Maintenance Notes: Great shape
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Great dog trail, but the only water I saw all day was at the bottom of Piper Mountain Trail.
Bugs
Bugs: I wore my permethrin treated clothes today, and spray on head and back of hands. I heard skeeters act up from time to time, sometimes tapping me, but never to point of pulling out head net or hat.

Comments
Comments: Originally parked at the end of Reed Rd parking lot. Saw deer tick on side of car while getting pack ready. Decided "I better pull my socks over my cuffs for this place.". So then I find another deer tick in my sock already! I calmly got the hell out of there.
I didn't see any of that tick evil magic while coming up from the Belknap Mountain Road lower parking. In fact, the breeze was luxurious, the humidity was still dropped, so I spent a lot of time enjoying the overlook ledges today.
I found a pretty good little tiny patch of ripe blueberries. There was enough there, I slipped into automatic for a second. They're coming.
