| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
6 cars in the Flume Gorge lot at 7AM. Almost full when we returned just before 2:00. It's a circus in there, haha. We made friends with a literal bus load of summer campers, who were very entertaining. |
| Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |
| Recommended Equipment: |
| Water Crossing Notes: |
Several crossings, all easy rock hops |
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trails are looking great, we all know that Flume Slide doesn't have the worlds best blazes, but it is very obvious that one is on the trail |
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Flume Slide trail would really be pretty dreadful for a timid dog. Ours is both brave and agile and she lives for this nonsense. |
| Bugs: |
Present, but not bad at all |

| Comments: |
Perfect hiking day. No weather concerns, the slide was as dry as it gets (so, still wet in the middle.) I bypassed the wet section by bushwacking which was doable but slightly absurd. Franconia Ridge and Liberty Springs are in terrific shape. We did miss the left turn after liberty springs and flume slide converge, but clearly many others had as well, as we just followed a secondary "trail" to the bike path. |
