Some black flies and occasional deer flies, but not as bad as they had been recently. Unfortunately I found one tick...have been seeing deer on the ski slopes more frequently in the past couple of years, and it appears they have brought with them ticks (used to be able to walk Waterville ski slopes without any issue). |

Trails were mostly dry. Hot day with temperatures in the upper 80s.
Ski trail grass is getting pretty high, so gravel access roads are the best bet if using them. Some ripe strawberries and plenty of wildflowers. Still one tiny patch of snow near the lodge, but I suspect it will only be around for a few more hours. |
