| Recommended Equipment: |
| Water Crossing Notes: |
Minor, low water level |
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
A few blow downs on Parker Trail, between Parker and the South Knob of Resolution. The grass and vegetation is encroaching on the Langdon Trail, in places. This is creating tick predicament. |
| Dog-Related Notes: |
The trails should be find for dogs, with the exception of the tick issue on Langdon Trail. |
| Bugs: |
Mosquitoes at lower (<2,000 ft) elevation, black flies above. I counted about 15 dog ticks questing along the Langdon Trail. Permethrin is a must. I didn't get any ticks one me, but I did perform a science experiment with my recently permethrined boots and pants. I plucked a blade of grass with a tick on it. Wiped the tick onto my pants, and it did a tuck and roll off me and onto the ground. Success! |

| Comments: |
Stellar afternoon. The views from Stairs and Resolution are fantastic. I did a little bushwhacking and reconnaissance for future adventures. Not sure I'd use Langdon Trail in the Spring/Summer again, though. |
