Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Quite a few water crossings but all are relatively easy to avoid wet feet.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Several blowdowns, but for a 19.5 mile hike, there were maybe a half a dozen trees to avoid all day.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw several - all looked happy.
Bugs
Bugs: Limited mosquitoes, bug spray kept them at bay. Several areas with gnat issues, especially towards the bottom of Zealand. Walked away with a number of bites on my legs (the downside of shorts).

Comments
Comments: This hike was a point-to-point hike from Lincoln Woods to Zealand including the summits of all three Bonds, Guyot, and Zealand. Overall the trail is in excellent condition. A few muddy sections between the Zealand summit (if you can call it that) and the hut. I took exactly two steps on snow all day as it's pretty much gone. Saw a moose at the lower lakes between the hut and north trailhead.
