Comments
Comments: We hiked up to the Madison Spring Hut via Air Line Trail on Sunday (6/9) and spent the evening (if you're looking for information on the Air Line Trail conditions, see my previous posting from 6/9). The next day (6/10), we took Gulfside Trail from the Madison Spring Hut to Air Line Trail to the summit of Mount Adams and back. Gulfside Trail to Air Line from the Hut was rocky (you're often just stepping from rock to rock straight up to the summit) and dry.

After coming back to the Madison Spring Hut for a quick break and water refill, we took the Osgood Trail up to the summit of Mount Madison - again, rocky (you're often just stepping from rock to rock straight up to the summit) and dry. Great views on both peaks with very few bugs due to wind. No snow. Worth the effort to climb up to both of them.

Valley Way down from the Madison Spring Hut had patches of mud and areas of running water on the trail. No snow.
