Comments
Comments: Passed about 20 people going up Cannon and the summit was super busy. Saw much fewer people once I got on the Kinsman Ridge trail. The Cannon Balls were pretty brutal with lots of PUDs, a fair number of blowdowns, and mud. Took a well worth it side trip to Kinsman Pond then continued up the Kinsmans. Trails were good with some mud but it was all very manageable. Make sure to walk through the mud! Tagged the summits (South Kinsman's is past the first viewpoint) and headed back down to Kinsman Junction. The top half of the Fishing Jimmy trail was steep with tons of slippery rocks. It was an easy hike out from Lonesome Lake. A few patches of snow up high, but it's safe to say that at least on these trails, it's officially summer!
