Comments
Comments: The Lonesome Lake trail wasn't bad. There were a few areas that still had snow on them, but we were able to walk around the existing monorails. Lots of slick rocks along the Lonesome Lake Trail. Once we hit the trail junction for the Kinsman Ridge trail the story quickly changed. Heading left to Northeast Cannon ball was snow free, but lots of slippery rocks. Heading right on the Kinsman Ridge Trail lead to a snow field, lots of slippery rocks, and a monorail of ice during parts of the hike. We did not use traction as it didn't make sense to use microspikes for small periods of time. Proceed with caution as you climb up Cannon. We made it there and back. Happy hiking.
