Bugs
Bugs: **Active Ground Bee nest at first big wide open ledge area on Welch Mountain doing the loop this way first. It is located where the trail spits you out at the big cliff edges in one of the manicured sandy rock garden areas dead center where the trail spits you out to check out the ledge edge. There were a couple of hundred of them coming out of the ground. I was sitting 20 feet away when I noticed it, and carefully gave it a wide berth and did not get stung. That said, it might be wise to skip the urge to check out that view and just keep moving. If deathly allergic, may not want to take a chance right now.
