Headed into the woods following the No Trespassing signs which pushed a bit to the right at first. Lots of debris and bouldery rocks for the first .1 mile. When signs moved back to the left, we headed steeply up through fairly open woods. About halfway up, we hit some snow patches but were soon back on dry ground. Reached the col between the two bumps and headed up and left along the ridge to a viewpoint. Continued along the open ridge until we spotted a faint trail and some white blazes which lead us back into the woods to the RHP marked by a handle on a tree. We had brought a spare jar so hung it with register and pencil included on the handle. After signing ourselves in, we headed straight down. We rediscovered the white blazed trail which we followed until it went onto the posted land. From that point on, we followed the posted signs along a stone wall back to the road, just beyond out car. |
