| Comments: |
Crawford Path to WCT at Pierce is heavily packed and, even with the warming temperatures and sun, remains firm and stable. WCT to Pierce's summit is braided. Please be careful not to step on the Diapensia if you get off the trail. Crawford Path to Eisenhower is mainly deep snow but the narrow packed portion is firm for the time being. Some ice and bare rock in the usual places. Eisenhower Loop had lots of ice but it was softened today. Only a few postholes encountered all day but they were beauts! Spikes were ideal throughout.
Perfect hike in every way today with Chris. Incredible views, snow-covered features and a cloudless sky. |
