Comments
Comments: Snow cover was almost complete, with only one major bare section on the way up Davis Top. Snow is deep in place, but completely supportive in snowshoes, which made for good walking. I would not consider going off trail in this area without snowshoes right now.

Woods were open with skid roads and some tighter hardwood regrowth. bryan reported tough to negotiate regrowth and deer ticks in summer, which made me choose this time of year.

I headed up Davis top, which had a cairn on top. I made my way to the 1487 west peak, which is the most prominent subpeak of the Green ridge. The highpoint is recognized. From there, I headed to the 1482 bump, which had some nice views. Last, I went over Welch Top which had a cairn on top. I then headed down towards the parking, crossing the drainage and slabbing over. Very nice loop over Green Mountain's western subpeaks.
