Comments
Comments: Snowshoes are a must on Roberts Tr. right now, as there's new snow and lots of drifting. Parts of the high ridge showed no sign of past travel, while others had blown in prints. Snow off trail was very supportive with consistent sinking around 3 inches. Woods off trail were mainly open.

From Roberts, I took the High Ridge to the first swamp, where I departed for Black Snout. I followed the contour along the west side of Faraway and the two bumps to the north. When I reached the ridge to Black Snout, I followed it to the highpoint and back. To return, I left my tracks and hiked over the three bumps of Faraway. From the summit of Faraway, I bushwhacked down to the east swamp. I took the High Ridge to my tracks and followed them out over Roberts, using the pasture cutoff to get to the parking.
