Comments
Comments: Trail going up to Lonesome lake was well packed with some small ice patches, going around and over the lake the snow wasn't deep enough to need snow shoes but helped on the way back down. Cascade brook trail was a little blown over but you could see remnants of the trail. Past the lodge and up to North Kinsman there were multiple steep sections that were covered in ice which made climbing and descending difficult. Snow shoes weren't necessary to this point. Heading towards South Kinsman the trail was packed well until you began the upslope for South Kinsman. At this point there were multiple misleading trails where markers were tough to see. The trail became blown over and required snowshoes the rest of the way up South Kinsman.
