Comments
Comments: Up Welch over to Dickey. Good wind up above but beautiful out. First water crossing up Welch branch is soft, but can be crossed with caution or bypassing upstream. Ice on trail and on slabs, can be done in micro spikes with caution, I used full crampons in spots. Dickey side has frozen post holes to watch for. Snowshoes not needed today. Descent from Welch to col towards Dickey has one tricky spot that can requires extra care.
