Pemi, East Branch at 246CFPS 01-06-2019 05:15 EST. Was able to find a way across the Hancock Branch, by going perpendicular to 112 at the Big Rock sign, and then following the Hancock Branch downstream 150-200'. It did require a significant jump. |

West Scar (East and West Peaks)
Went up the spine of the ridge that lands at East West Scar (the original AMC canister summit), from the there, over to West West Scar and back. There is a good amount of powder above 3500'. Mostly good woods, although there are plenty of stick forests as well. Our tracks on ascent had blown in on descent, with only traces visible. As the wind and snow picked up more in the late afternoon, I imagine the track will largely be gone by the time anyone reads this. |
