Did Gunstock-Piper loop. Piper trail low is bare in places, ice stretches; packed, hard snow up high. No need to bring snowshoes, the whole loop is solid, you won't be post holing. Along the ridge, if temps warmed significantly, snowshoes might be advisable. Given the current extended forecast, light traction is definitely the right way to go until we get more snow. |
