Comments
Comments: A big THANK YOU for the folks that broke out the Wildcat Ridge Tr between D and A peak. I went up Polecat Ski Tr which was ungroomed on Wednesday. I used a snowmobile track for most of the way. I barebooted all the way up D peak. On D, I put on snowshoes to make my way over to A peak. The trail was mostly broken out from the weekend folks with 2 inches of powder from the Tuesday storm, making it mostly easy going for a solo hiker. The loose snow did lead to plenty of skiing in snowshoes between D and C peak. Not so fond of that. This hike to A peak was an out and back. The track going from Wildcat A towards Carter Notch was mostly broken out on the summit with probably 2 inches of snow on top of that. This is an observation, I did not hike to Carter Notch.
