Comments
Comments: 2nd hike of the day. the snow was a little deeper over here, but with increasing temps we opted to barefoot, as snow would've just stuck to snowshoes. there were plenty of hikers on Stinson Mtn today, some in shoes, some in spikes, some in bare boots, so the trail is well packed. if temps fall and there is no new snow, it will probably become icy, warranting spikes. saw a young bull moose grazing about a 100 yards off the trail just below the summit. we had the summit all to ourselves and had two false starts before we found the short path down to the outlook, where it appears the opening to the view of the lake is maintained.
