Comments: Walked 0.2 mi. past gate, turning R onto snomo road shown on most topo maps. Walked about 0.6 mi. uphill, and turned L on road to head to Bald. Crossed wooden bridges over drainage. Walked 0.2 mi. and took lesser quality woods road uphill in an almost perfect compass bearing with Bald. Road faded out around 1700' and we bushwhacked the rest of the way to Bald. Took a fairly straight compass bearing to the col, and then to Whittier. Found jars on both summits. From Whittier, we dropped down N/NW to find the old CCC ski cabin (and we thank Jeremy Clark for the inspriation from his post several years back). The cabin was kind of cool... but lots of litter and trash, which was abit sad. Climbed back uphill a bit, and headed along one of the west contours back to the col. Dropped SE'ly through woods, eventually dropping into a overgrown logging road that dropped us back into our original path uphill. Great day out with Bill C., Schorman and Lady Di, Ken H., Gorbo and Rueben.
