Comments
Comments: Beautiful day for a hike starting out on the Baldface Circle trail, good footing. We continued on to the Bicknell Ridge Trail with intention of reaching Eagle Crag and possibly Baldfaces. Encountered snow/ice at first open ledges before next junction. Continuing on at Junction, increasingly more snow from a few inches to probably 6 to 8, some drifts were waist high. Breaking treeline just before 3rd junction (about 3.9 miles in) snow was knee high and hard to stay on top off, we turned around at this junction (.3 before Eagle Crag) as we didn't have snowshoes and didn't want to continue post-holing. Amazing views anyway, gorgeous day to be outdoors, will start packing the snowshoes from now on, will be back.
