Started up hi-cannon to Mt. cannon. Nice hike, sturdy ladder. In & out of the clouds at summit. 32.2 windchill on the deck..... brrrr. Had a breakfast sandwich inside and warmed up. Then headed to the cannon balls. Wow, is that steep coming off of Mt. Cannon. Cannon balls fun with some cool views here & there. Got up to North Kinsman around noon. Crowded at viewpoint with flags on the 48 so we headed over to South Kinsman and hung out there for awhile. No helicopter fly over this year but still proud to be on summit seeing the flag fly ever so strongly in the wind in remembrance to 9/11. Thanked the crew for carrying the flag up. Headed back over to North Kinsman and eventually hooking up with the Fishing jimmy trail down to the hut. Brave soul swimming in the lake 😳. Back down the Lonesome lake trail to the trailhead. Big Day!!! ✌🻠|
