I was the first car in at 07300 and there were a few cars by the time we were down at 1000. |

Easy for dogs, but no water on the trail so take that into consideration. |

This is a straight forward hike. Park just outside the Castle in the Clouds gate in the hiker parking lot (it's labeled). Road walk to the Riding in the Clouds horse barn to get to the trailhead.
Near the top you think you are almost at the summit and then the trail drops back into the woods for a quarter of a mile before finally reaching the summit that has a highpoint so you can see over the trees.
