Kilkenny Ridge starting at Star King and going all the way to Cabot, then back. At the top of Waumbek there is a handwritten note posted to the sign saying there are so many blowdowns that the trail is impassable. The first 1/2 mile to mile past Waumbek is actually great (thanks to whoever is maintaining it!), beyond that there are a ton of blowdowns, so many that it felt like I was basically bushwhacking. I probably would have kept on if I didn't have to come back the same way, but the idea of fighting through another 5 miles (at least) of that kind of trail just to fight my way back through it was a bit much for me. It's passable, but leave a TON of extra time. |
