| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
All trails easy to follow - the tree with the sign for Black Snout trail at the junction with the Mt. Shaw trail fell down across the trail and there's no sign marking the Mt. Shaw trail, figured out which trail it was only when we got to the next junction - otherwise everything very well marked. Lots of deadfall especially on the ridge, we pitched in a moved several larger branches to the side - still 4-5 remain that will need a chainsaw to remove, either stepovers or with many branches blocking the trail. |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
Hannah had a great day, easy footing and water opportunities for most of the way - less so on Mt. Roberts trail though, as always we had extra with us |
|
| Bugs: |
Black flies on the summits when there was no breeze, ugh |

| Comments: |
Great day for a long loop in the Ossipees - only a few very small patches of snow, mostly approaching Mt. Roberts summit and on the ridge between Roberts and Faraway, only two were unavoidable but they should be gone within the next week. Some areas with standing water and mud but nothing crazy for this time of year. Gentle grades and good footing most of the way allowed us to keep a good pace all day. Great views all around and we only saw two other hikers, hard to beat that - thanks Hannah for another good one. |
