Comments
Comments: Great day to head up Whiteface. The trail was tracked out ahead of me so I helped in breaking up Blueberry Ledge trail. I caught up with the wonderful gentlemen breaking ahead of me at the beginning of the steeps (thanks Neil, Mike and Jerry). I did my part breaking the last half mile up some steep sections and on to the true summit on Rollins trail. We all about faced and headed back. Coming up and down the steep sections proved difficult with two feet of powder and thigh to cheat high drifts. With more traffic it will help wear a trail, but I don't doubt more drifting in the coming days. A rope was helpful on one tricky section on blueberry ledge trail. My intent was to head over to Passaconaway but I didn't feel like breaking 2 ft of snow alone.
