Comments
Comments: We broke anywhere between 1/2 foot to 3 feet of fresh snow all the way up to Welch. We crossed a skier near the summit of Welch where the rest of our way was partially broken by ski tracks. The Ski tracks didn't always take the traditional path so we adjusted where we could to ensure the track is the correct path. The open ledges had LOTS of fresh powdery to dense snow and in some spots we sank 2 feet. The way to Dickey was also full of fresh snow despite the ski tracks. We were still breaking trail as our snowshoes sank more than the ski tracks. The open ledges past Dickey the snow was about 3 feet. Many of the difficult spots that required slight climbing were easy to cross due to packed snow from previous snowfalls. We could just walk up with snowshoes.

Overall it was nice to break trail after a fresh snowfall especially on such a nice loop.
