Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All of the many crossings on Downes & Sabbaday Brook were easily rock hoppable today.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Downes Brook had numerous blowdowns (step overs and duck unders). Kate Sleeper from Downes Brook to Rollins in good shape, no issues. Kate Sleeper from Downes to Mt Tripyramid has a few blowdowns but still shows the massive damage from Hurricane Irene. Sabbaday Brook Trailno issues although there is a major re-route towards the bottom half of the trail. You can see the blaze on a tree on an island but the "trail" is hugging the west bank.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw a few dogs on the Mt Tripyramid slide, plenty of water on Downes & Sabbaday, not a drop on Kate Sleeper

Comments
Comments: Great loop to pick up portion of the Kate Sleeper trail that I avoided when I did East Sleeper for my NEHH. Downes Brook was great walk up, water crossings were mild today, grades easy, no big climbs. Kate Sleeper from Downes to Rollins mostly flat with one climb just below trail junction. Kate Sleeper over to Tripyramid nice walk with a mild climbs to East & West Sleeper, nice trail bed. Although there is the slide that must be climbed to the Mt Tripyramid Trail which then gets you to the south slide, short climb then a nice trail to South Tri and down and up again to Middle, steep drop off Middle to the junction with Sabbaday Brook. Sabbaday Brook has some really steep slab rock sections in the top half which when wet, yesterday will test your skills. once off the steeps a easy walk to falls and the tourists back to the parking lot.
