Comments
Comments: Great day to be out. The usual icy spots on the exposed ledges ascending the summit cone are intimidating and light traction is advisable, though there is enough room on the sides to by-pass it. With care I was able to leave my microspikes in the pack. Had the summit to myself and enjoyed my lunch at the tent site. On the way back to Lambert Ridge and then down to the car I met a lot of hikers coming up. Great view to Mt. Moosilauke with its summit covered in fresh snow.
