This trip was 17.5M long. We started on "19Mile Bk Tr." Then summited Wildcat A then Wildcat D...We backtracked then took the "Carter Moriah Tr." to Carter Dome--> summited Mt. Hight, took "Carter Moriah tr." to South Carter and Middle Carter, we then hiked the .6M past Middle Carter and hiked the 1.2M on "North Carter Trail", took a Left at the sign and descended "IMP Tr", at mile 16.5 on the "IMP Tr." we turned off trail (Left turn) and bushwhacked 1.0M past the river to the parking lot. If anyone does this bushwhack there's an unexpected cliff we encountered(as we were trying to hike straight to the parking lot) so because of this cliff we kept hiking "right" of it and then descended to the road, where we only had a .2M walk to the parking lot, this bushwhack took a couple miles off the total hiking trip! Awesome day for a hike despite the on and off rain! |
