Comments
Comments: Stayed on the Notch Tr for a few hundred yards then entered the woods and headed E to the sub-peak to the S of the recognized peak. From the sub-peak headed NE to the recognized peak. I followed my track down the cone of the recognized peak then headed W and traversed around the mountain while trending down and cut my track ~3 or 4 tenths from the Hancock Notch Tr. The track I took down is a much more direct route. The woods at lower elevations are relatively open. Up high it is a bit scrappy. Not so much on my track down. Flex Alps gave excellent purchase on the steeps. There was ~3-4 inches of new snow on several feet of old snow. I did not sink in more that 6-12 inches for most of the hike.
