| Comments: |
We wore snowshoes to the first major scramble, which was mostly melted out, and switched to light traction from there to the true summit, all without postholing at all. Trail softened in the afternoon and even our snowshoes were postholing occasionally on our descent. The trail now has a decent smooth snowshoe track with few postholes. Spring conditions prevail so carry snowshoes.
Great hike with Chris. Views were nice as we hit the upper ledges but the ceiling dropped quickly. |
