Comments
Comments: Well it was good going up to whiteface. The monorail was the same height as the snow around so it was harder to figure out where to step. All 4 of us had spikes on as it was hard icish to walk on. I ebded up throwing on my snowshoes just for televators but it was rough as the trail was choppy at times. The ledges melted a lot so it was easy going up them. Then hit the peak. Ans thinking we lucked out (subtract the crazy wind) rollins trail was an absolute mess!!! It was hard to see the 12 inch monorail you needed to stay on. But don't worry you know when you walked off as you post holed to your hip most of the time. So watching every step and getting smacked in the face with the trees and branches.well we finally got to the last of the up for passaconaway and it was a lotbetter. We got the peak and came back down. Dicey mills trail was pretty hard packed and less bumpy and hard on my ankles. Found a z-rest almost off the trail. The trail that was over some standing water normally had the trail break through and gail had her boot go in twice. One water crossing with the white birch tree to walk across and we got across ok. Well glad that is over and i think that was the crappiest trail conditions this season.
