Splitboarded/snowboarded Stinson Mtn - terrific views - did a couple laps of the middle section where the good turns were. Birch glades too thick to try out. Saw a bunch of snow machines on the snow machine section - very polite - I stayed off the side of the trail when they passed. Several very big rocks and some dirt showing on the snow machine trail - survival turns in there. Woods have deep (about 2') snow still, despite the warm-up. The lower portion of hiking trail was very difficult to snowboard as it was pretty narrow and difficult to check speed. On the flats, I punched through a few times walking out and there were already postholes. |
