Comments
Comments: The conditions were a little tough. Soft snow on top of a fairly packed trail caused some slipping while going up. Stepping off or to the side of the packed trail led to post holes - even with snowshoes on. Deep post holes! We used the bushwhack of the bushwhack to avoid the ice going up/down the chimney. In between the two peaks and after the chimney, where it levels off a bit, there is a downed tree and we (along with someone days before) continued straight - take that left when going over to Mt. Osceola. Saw about 10-12 others on the trail. When we were on our return, one bare booter left some really deep post holes in the trail. Nice to get out with Sunshine and Gypsy Hiker -
