Comments
Comments: Great day! Snow had firmed up overnight so although we carried our snowshoes we didnt need them (used microspikes the entire way, no postholing).
Due to the prior day's folks packing down the softer snow we scampered along with little or no problems.
The steeper sections of Blueberry Ledge approaching Whiteface were pretty easy as the prior two day's hiking efforts compacted the snow making makeshift stairs.
Rollins trail around the bowl from Whiteface to Passaconaway was pretty well packed/frozen for us however if the temp gets above freezing you may need snowshoes so you don't posthole to China (bring them).
The trees are thick as due to significant snow cover the trail blazes are at knee height and there are many more branches in your face!
The trail to the summit of Passaconaway was well packed albeit steep. No issues. Dicey's Mill out back to Ferncroft parking was a really nice, gradual descent.
Snow fleas everywhere!
