Comments
Comments: A friend and I did a loop around The Bowl in today's frigid weather. We started up Blueberry Ledge Trail on spikes but once we started to climb we switched to snowshoes for traction and kept them on the rest of the day. Blueberry Ledge Trail, Rollins Trail and Dicey's Mill Trail were well packed with a few inches of frozen granular to validate snowshoes. We helped break trail with another group on Walden Trail from Passaconaway to Wonalancet Range Trail. There were a couple of icy spots on Walden Trail. Wonalancet Range Trail was somewhat broken out but drifting had filled in the trail in places. Rather than taking the packed Short Cut, we continued over Mount Wonalancet, breaking the trail, only bushwhacking a hundred feet or so at the ledges. The lower part of Wonalancet Range Trail was a little uneven from barebooters.
