Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Sasha was too warm in her new Ruffwear puffy. I tried Crisco slathered on her paws to help with snow balling to modest success. I can't get mushers wax warm enough to slather enough on. Crisco is not as messy as i thought.

Comments
Comments: Great day to be out! Nothing beats the gift of seeing your 12.5 yr old dog run up
and down the trail and roll in the snow.
I should have put snow shoes on to descend Welch. There was much less foot traffic after the summit of Welch. Left the snowshoes on and they were nice for blown drifts but not truly necessary. Wind was not problematic like I thought it would be. Maybe because temps were so mild. I was blown all over 93N in the AM and worried the wind would be awful. It wasn't.
