Comments: Terrific loop today! Headed up to Blueberry Mtn first. There were a LOT of "blueberries" - strangest blueberries I've ever tasted - like they were full of seeds - very gritty - maybe some other variation but it's no mystery why these haven't been eaten despite how tasty they looked!!!! From Blueberry Mountain, I had a semi-difficult time finding a route off the slabs and the thick trees. I circled the summit a bit to the north to finally find a tunnel out. Once off the summit, surprisingly open even though it looked thick.

Once onto the ridge up to Jeffers, things were pretty neat - very open - a lot of raspberry patches that slowed me down - SO yummy and perfect!!!! Ripe! YAY!!!!

Terrific herd paths about halfway up Jeffers to summit and along the ridge. The Hogsback Ridge has plenty of open spots/steep cliffs you can walk on, on either side (east or west). The "summit" of Hogsback was amazing - WOW - open rock - so glad I finally got here!!!! From there, I headed along the ridge to the north and noticed a "balanced rock" along the ridge - neat!

I didn't go too far beyond the "summit" of Hogsback before I started looking for an escape hatch off the ridge to head west back to my car. I found one a little ways beyond the summit that did not land me on the top of a cliff. BUT, very steep dropoff - looks like 100' drop for less than 100' in contour lines but seemed to go straight down so I butt-slid where I could. Eventually it flattened out and I headed southwest through a large logging cut, using some skidder paths and eventually connected to the main logging road the trail branched off from.
