Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Just one, 1/10 of a mile from the Glen Ellis trailhead. It was a bit challenging, and we lost a water bottle while jumping from rock to rock.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: The trail was well maintained. Some very well placed bog bridges. Just one blowdown - it was on the 19 Mile Brook trail - a thick birch tree. Someone had trimmed the branches off of it so it was easy to duck below.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes:
Bugs
Bugs: Not bad - some in the parking lot, and some black flies and misquotes on the last couple of miles of 19 Mile Brook Trial.

Comments
Comments: Great hike. Planned to just do Wildcat D, but it turned out to be such a nice day we decided to go all the way across to A, and down 19 Mile Brook.

The fist 2 miles of the hike up from Glen Ellis trailhead are very challenging. The entire trail was well maintained. A bit of water and mud in spots, but mostly a dry hike.

We only saw 3 other hikers. Surprisingly, none were seen hiking up 19 Mile Brook Trial to the Carter Notch hut. Mostly in the woods, but some great views of Washington and Tucks along the way. We ended up walking about 1 mile along Rt. 16 before some picked us up and gave a ride back to our car.
