Trails were packed hard snow and ice flows. I made it to Lonesome Lake via bareboot since the ice and snow was well textured and provided grip. Seriously this looked like it was a wet slippery mess this weekend and who knows what it will be like after today. Firm and icy all the way and it was windy up high too. Trails are well signed and I like the NH State Park signs really I am so sick and tired of the forest service signs. Dartmouth and the State of NH should make all the signs! Oh calendar winter ends soon and the weather forecast isn't comforting this week so I decided to make a quick trip to tag a NH100 for winter this morning before heading south to work. |
